* Yes, in December! May include: Russian kale, carrots, lettuce, onion, radish, spinach, Brussel sprouts, winter pumpkin, winter squash, snow peas, snow cones (just kidding). On Dec 23 2017, we harvested from the garden covered with a portable greenhouse and gave our customers high phytonutrient & antioxidant Red Russian kale, Blue curly kale, Red lettuce, and Arugula.
Dried / preserved heirloom fruits
Dried pure non-treated herbs
Pastured, high beta-carotene, vitamins A, E, & B12, & omega-3 eggs, 2 dozen
* Yes, pastured eggs in December! Our chickens get to stay on rotating pasture with mobile shelters until the water stays frozen. Then, from the sheltered ~greenhouse room in the barn (with water heaters), our chickens have access to pasture via a small door. Even with unlimited super-fortified grain mix available, they will dig through snow to get grass still connected to the roots, which is nutritionally far superior to any cut forage. They also eat some snow and ice, as a very purified source of supplemental water. It is amazing to watch. Schedule a visit!
